Please note: Depending on your country and on your selected xentral package, the availability of modules and features differs - thus, the features described in this article might not be part of the xentral product you are using.
A closer look at the new features
Amazon - Upload credits
Analogous to the upload of invoices of your Amazon orders, corresponding credit notes can now also be uploaded on Amazon. The upload happens automatically in the background if it has been enabled in the Amazon interface.
Amazon - Send in parts list items
Just-in-time item lists (set items, bundles) can now also be submitted to Amazon, just like normal sales items. Sending in works exactly the same as for regular items.
API - Allocation of rights
When creating an API account in xentral, you can now restrict which functions of xentral can be accessed with this account. This way, for the first time, there is a rights management for API access of external software to your xentral.
The assignment of rights can be done directly when creating the API account via checkboxes. Which rights stand for which functions, you can read directly in our API-Documentation.
For items that are purchased as subscriptions, subscriptions can now be created automatically in the
Subscription module. For example, if a subscription article is ordered in the store and the order is then imported to xentral, xentral will create a subscription for this article in the customer address.
For which articles this should happen can be set in the subscription module under "Automatic subscriptions". A restriction by project, an assignment to a subscription group as well as a suppression of the auto shipping is also possible.
Book user licenses and apps at the touch of a button (BETA)
In the future, you will be able to add more user licenses and apps to your xentral with a simple mouse click. To access the AppStore, simply click on "Apps" in the menu bar.
Note: So far only available for new Xentral Cloud instances.
Batches for IFS certification
Overviews in which you can track the goods movements of batch articles have been extended so that you can use them to ensure your IFS certification.
Click-by-Click and Wizards
When creating stores, shipping methods, payment methods and business accounts, you can now use our click-by-click wizards and wizards, which make the connection faster and easier for you.
If you want to make all the settings yourself, you can switch to "expert mode" at any time.
Datanorm app revised
With the Datanorm app articles and prices in Datanorm format can be imported to xentral. Now it is also possible to work with Datanorm version 4, instead of only version 5 as before. Furthermore, article descriptions can now be imported more extensively (corresponds to dimension text and long text from Datanorm).
GetMyInvoices is a service that automatically imports your invoices and bank statements from thousands of different sources. GetMyInvoices can automatically transfer these invoices from your suppliers to your xentral via our API.
In the xentral app GetMyInvoices you can create an API account with a few clicks. Then you will receive the access data, which you can enter in the backend of GetMyInvoices.
You can get the required access data by creating an API account in the xentral app GetMyInvoices specifically for the connection.
Google OAuth for Emails
Under My Area → Settings, each of your employees can now store their Gmail account. In the "Google API" app, your administrator can connect your Google Suite beforehand. You can find out how to do this in our manual article.
The authorization is done via Google OAuth.
Voucher Mobile App
With the new mobile voucher app, you can quickly create and print vouchers without using the POS module, even on mobile devices. The printout is done on your own layout template.
You can also (partially) redeem the vouchers in the app and debit the amounts by scanning the voucher code.
The created vouchers are stored in the voucher app (voucher).
xentral's new Learning Dashboard takes you on short tours through some of our most important modules and interfaces. Whether you're a new customer or want to quickly get your new employees up to speed with xentral, the Learning Dashboard has something for everyone.
Each tour takes you click by click through the most important interfaces and shows you the most useful features.
New interfaces (settings, AppStore, navigation)
With version 20.3 we have improved our user interfaces once again. From now on you will find all important modules, the AppStore as well as your tasks and reminders in a quickly accessible and tidy menu column on the left.
A search field at the top will always lead you quickly and directly to your goal.
New icons and a categorization of the AppStore as well as the settings according to departments facilitate the menu navigation for you.
Mandatory fields App extensions
The Mandatory fields App allows you to define certain fields in xentral as mandatory fields, so that every employee always knows which fields must not be left empty. In version 20.3, the app has been improved in many places. For example, in modules with many tabs, the app now shows you exactly where a defined mandatory field was forgotten.
Checking for correct entries in mandatory fields now occurs not only after "Save" actions, but also when releasing documents and similar actions.
Mandatory fields in which numbers must be entered can also be assigned a less-than or greater-than value.
The well-known marketing, sales & CRM software Pipedrive is now connected to your xentral. Leads (addresses), deals (follow-ups) and contacts can be imported from Pipedrive as well as exported again.
Shopimport - Smarty-Configuration
Smarty is a template engine that allows your technicians to parse the information that a store system passes to xentral, especially in the shopping cart of an order, differently than is the case in the standard.
So in the future you can decide which information xentral should take from the shopping carts of the orders and how it should be processed or where it should be stored in xentral.
If information from plugins in your store is also transferred in the shopping carts, you can also define a type of processing for this.
For example, if you sell configurable items in your store, a Smarty template can help you turn the raw configuration data into custom items when importing orders to xentral. The information is output to xentral except for the receipts!
Shopify Business Booster App
The new Shopify Business Booster app now makes it even easier for Shopify sellers to install and set up the interface to xentral. The wizards help you match your items and transfer the first orders to xentral.
Shopware 6 Business Booster App
The xentral interface to Shopware 6 now appears in Shopware's AppStore as a Business Booster App to enable an even easier connection between Shopware 6 and xentral. With just a few clicks your interface is ready to go!
With the new version, the theinterface to the store software Spryker has also been extensively expanded. Among other things, it is now possible to import orders from Spryker to xentral, including feedback on the shipping status, as well as export items from xentral to Spryker and synchronize stock figures.
Submitting vacation time
From now on, your employees can request their vacation time in employee time recording by xentral. To do so, simply click on "Submit request" in the corresponding tab and select the desired days. Weekends are automatically deducted from the number of required vacation days, unless the employee has entered planned working hours on these days. Half vacation days or sick leave can also be submitted.
In order to coordinate the vacation within the department, you can also see the vacation days of the other members of your own group in the calendar - but not those of the other groups. So you can create your teams as groups for this purpose.
In the area "Edit requests" the HR department can release the requests.
